Keep Instagram Chronological
Recently, instagram has announced that it will roll out an algorithm similar to the one facebook uses to control what you see when you open the app. The developers spewed some blatant public relations crap about "providing the best 30% you don't normally see", but the real reason is that instagram wants to charge as many accounts as possible. Instagram wants to create a system where people or brands pay to get better placement instead of maintaining an organic, free-market meritocracy where content is king. I guess we should've seen this coming when Big Zuck bought instagram for $2 Billion years ago and instagram saw a 149% revenue growth in the first year it charged for advertising space, but it's going to ruin the best social media interface we have. There's a reason it's the fastest-growing and most popular social-media app. This isn't a move in the best interest of the app or the people using it. It's a move for greed. It's controlling what you see instead of allowing you choice. If you'd like to keep instagram the way it's always been, sign the petition!
