Meet the Model: Brooke
Where do you spend most time on Cape?
Probably the Mid-Cape area, even though I don't confine myself to one area of the Cape - I am still exploring and discovering new places. I've lived in just about every Mid Cape town and enjoy those beaches the best! There are wonderful restaurants, including my favorite new spot Clean Slate Eatery, and lots of good spots for outdoor activities. Honestly though, most of my time is spent in the rehab gym where I work, I'm busy improving lives! ;)
Which town is your favorite?
This is definately a toughie. Part of me automatically jumps to Dennis Village - I grew up there and it's the home to the most beautiful beaches, especially Crowe's at Low Tide. I've also become a huge fan of Harwich Port. It's full of great businesses and activities that encourage local shopping and community involement. My pup and I also love spending time at Thompson's Field.
What are your passions?
I have a few. Traveling and eating great food are two of them. So, I love to go to new places and try new food. I've been known to travel hours by plane or bus just for a specific meal. I've traveled and lived all over the world and being able to experience different lifestyles is something I'll never stop wanting to do, but it has made me appreciate the beauty of home!
What’s your favorite Cape Cod activity?
I enjoy anything that is on or near the water! I walk year round on the beaches with my dog, try to swim in the ocean every day in the summer, and I just recently started to dabble in fishing which I really enjoy so far. I also just started eating seafood last summer - yes, I'm from the Cape and ate my first lobster at 29 years old. Better late than never.
Where is your favorite Cape Cod spot? Why?
Monomoy, hands down. If you need an explanation, you must never have been. It's my favorite place in the world, and I've seen a lot of really amazing places.
Becoming a part of the Cape Cloth family (only after my dog did) and spending time with some truly great people in the process. Looking forward to more good times this summer! I also just got back from a very inspiring fundraising event for a foundation that supports something close to my heart, both professionally and personally. The Kelly Brush Foundation empowers those with paralysis to live engaged and fulfilling lives through sport and recreation. They enable people to live better lives, which lines up perfectly with why I became an occupational therapist. Give them some money, they'll do great things with it!
